FCE, CAE and CPE

What are they?

FCE (First Certificate in English), CAE (Certificate of Advanced English) and CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) are taken by students on B2, C1 and C2 levels, respectively (see details). You are assessed in reading, listening, speaking and writing. There are three passing grades (A, B and C) and you need on average just over 60% to pass.

Who are they for?

All those who need an official proof of their language abilities. Professionals and students alike.

Why take them?

They increase your chance of promotion at work and your competitiveness in the global market. They offer you a chance to test your language skills in a fair, reliable and valid test, which has been developed by experts over many decades, and whose results are accepted globally. More information.

How are you prepared?

A healthy mix of authentic materials, course book exercises and past exam papers is used. A needs analysis and a diagnostic test conducted at the start of the course serve to design a unique and individualised training program, which guarantees your success. However, keep in mind that since passing FCE, CAE or CPE is very demanding, you can expect a fair amount of regular homework.

Course duration and fees.

A full preparation course takes 60 hours in which you are prepared for all parts of the exam. However, this may vary according to your starting level, as well as to the desired grade.
